Privacy policy

H1B Salary is a public data site. You can browse and search everything without an account; an optional Google sign-in only lets you save jobs. We never ask for your name or résumé, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

  • Analytics — cookieless (Cloudflare) for everyone, plus Google Analytics (consent-gated in the EU/EEA/UK, opt-out elsewhere).
  • Server logs — IP address and browser user-agent, kept up to 30 days for security, then deleted.
  • Account (only if you sign in) — your email address and the jobs you Save or mark Applied.

We don't collect special-category data, and we don't sell or rent any data.

Accounts & job tracking (optional)

If you sign in with Google we store your email (to identify your account) and your saved/applied jobs, to show them on your My Jobs page, kept only while your account exists. You can export or delete everything anytime from your Account page; deletion erases your email and jobs. We keep only a brief, pseudonymized record of sign-up/deletion events (a hashed identifier + IP, never your email or jobs) for abuse prevention.

Legal basis

Cookieless analytics and short-lived logs: our legitimate interest in running and securing the site. Cookie-based Google Analytics: your consent (EU/EEA/UK). Account data: to provide the save-jobs feature at your request.

Your rights

Wherever you are, and under the GDPR and CCPA/CPRA, you can:

  • Access, export, or delete your account data, one click on your Account page.
  • Opt out of analytics cookies via Cookie settings in the footer; we honor Global Privacy Control / Do-Not-Track.
  • Complain to your local data-protection authority.

We don't sell or share your personal information, and don't use it for profiling or automated decisions.

Cookies & third parties

The site works without cookies and our default analytics are cookieless. It runs on Cloudflare (hosting, CDN, cookieless analytics, and the encrypted database that stores account data) and uses Google (“Sign in with Google”, which shares your email; and Google Analytics, consent-gated in the EU/EEA/UK). Each processes limited data under its own policy; we share data with them only to run and measure the site.

Children, controller & contact

The site isn't directed at children and we don't knowingly collect their data. H1B Salary is an independent project and the data controller. We may update this policy; the current version is always here. Questions or a rights request: [email protected].
