Who paused green-card sponsorship
Significant past sponsors whose employment green-card (PERM) cases dropped to near-zero in FY2025, the latest complete year. Several still file plenty of H-1Bs; it's specifically their new permanent-residency cases that fell off.
How to read this. PERM is disclosed by decision date and lags filings by ~1–2 years, so a drop to ~0 means the employer stopped filing new green-card cases, it doesn't affect workers whose cases are already in progress. Counts roll subsidiaries up to the parent (Amazon.com + AWS → Amazon), and known renames/mergers (Anthem→Elevance, Mindtree→LTIMindtree) are merged so they don't show as false pauses.
