Under the finalized wage-weighted rule (effective Feb 27, 2026; first applied to the FY2027 cap, registered March 2026), each registration gets entries equal to its DOL wage level (I = 1 … IV = 4), so higher-paid roles are likelier to be selected, vs the old ~30% flat odds. The estimate above reads your level off H-1B base pay for your title and state; the official DOL level is set against OES prevailing wages, so treat this as a guide. Probabilities are DHS projections and move with the total number of registrations, an estimate, not a guarantee.
