Data: U.S. Department of Labor H-1B (LCA) and PERM disclosures, plus USCIS H-1B petition data, FY2017–2026, last refreshed June 2026. These are employer filings to the government, not guarantees of pay, sponsorship, or approval; one H-1B filing (an LCA) can cover multiple positions. The LCA form covers three visa programs, so filing counts include E-3 (Australia) and H-1B1 (Chile, Singapore) alongside H-1B, about 2.4% of the total. Reports that rank employers by H-1B volume count H-1B only.
On job listings, a "DOL" range is the middle 50% (25th to 75th percentile) of base salaries employers reported to the U.S. Department of Labor for that role over recent years: either this employer's own filings, or general (across all sponsors) when we do not have the employer's own for the role. It is historical filing data, not the job's offered pay.
Some figures carry footnotes: * a partial fiscal year, † the green-card (PERM) reporting lag, ‡ BLS OES metro medians are straight-time gross pay: base rates plus commissions, incentive pay and production bonuses, excluding overtime, non-production bonuses and equity. Our medians are LCA base salary only, so a comparison against OES reads low for roles that carry incentive pay. See Methodology for sources and definitions.
